5th of December the International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development is celebrated. The newborn Dennis was left in the maternity hospital alone. His mom was discharged from the hospital in 7 days after his birth. She beared the brunt of temporary repudiation. As she explained: “because of the housing problem”. Katja – the mother of little Dennis – had no place to go with her newborn son. She is orphan and on the 8th day after childbirth she came back to study in the vocational school in Makeevka. She came back to her room in the student’s hostel and as one of the educationalists said “to Vladimir’s bed”. Vladimir is father of the baby – the same 17-year old orphan as Katja. She came to morn the loss of the baby, suffering from the pain in her breast full of milk, and understanding that their son will also become orphan as his parents are.

From the 1st of November in the Сhildrens Rights-Hotel works music therapist. Music lessons, crafts and music therapy sessions for inmates of the Children’s Village every weekend holds a music therapist, Waldorf teacher Irina Izhikova.

In the middle of October pupils of a comprehensive school №80 which is in settlement Hanzhonkovo, nearby to «Children’s village» in frameworks of charity action «Create good» have collected and have transferred humanitarian help to pupils of rehabilitation-training centre.

One of the clients of children rights protection hotel - 17 years old - Ilona Belodedova became a mother. Welcomed and adored baby with height of 52 cm and weight 3250 grams the young mother decided to call Rosanna.

Unusual building started up in front of the Lugansk region administration. It took couple of minutes the volunteers of action to build the CITY OF CHILDREN. In such way the Lugansk children rights protection center “POSTUP” decided to attract the attention of administrative officials to the problem of homeless orphans.

Youth NGO “M.ART.IN-club” by financial support of Eurocomission carried out an «Summerhouse – chilren rights protection summer camp». A purpose is a rekreacion and rehabilitation of children from the groups of risk and children with the special needs. More than 50 children escorted by care-takers during 10 days lived in a tent camp, located in a pine-wood in a neighborhood of village Schurovo ashore the Blue lakes.

In one of the September weekends the young inhabitants of “Children’s village” (rehabilitation center for children and youth in crisis situation visited the choir studio of the Donetsk national university. Cause for meeting was sad and glad simultaneously. From one side finished the half-year volunteer project of Hanna Ruehs — music teacher from Germany who came to Ukraine at support of «German-russian exchange” to work with children in Makeevka in the NGO «M.ART.IN-club». From the other side — the pupils of «Children’s village» were proud to appeare on the stage with their own concert. which became possible due to half-year joint efforts of Hanna and children. They showed not only choir singing but playing flute, piano and guitar as well.
